Cousins!

Chase and his cousin Avery giving him kisses (she's about 3 weeks older than him)!
Chase and Avery talking. Chase was venting to her about his tough day! It's hard being 4 months old!
Chase and Mommy making silly faces!
Chase was sad to see his cousins and aunt leave Arizona
All three cousins playing!
We just had Cassandra, Ethan, and Avery stay with us before they made their big move to Arkansas for Jesse's new job with Unilever. Our family here in Arizona is slowly diminishing and we will really miss them. Nick and Brent had better not leave us too soon! There's not too much that is new with us lately just trying to finish Christmas shopping without breaking the bank. We're really excited for a southern christmas in Arkansas and just hoping Chase's first airplane flight goes smoothly! Anyhow, here are some updated pictures from Cassandra's stay with us!

I Got a Brand New Hair Cut!

Chase got his first hair cut! His hair was falling out in some areas and growing back in other areas and it was staring to get a little out of control (as shown in the photo below). So...snip snip, we clipped his little coconut! The first picture is a before and the rest are afters!

I put in this last one of him because I thought it was pretty funny. We had just got home from church and we thought we'd take some quick pictures of him and after the first couple he started complaining! This is Chase mid-complaint. I think he's had enough!

OK Pumpkin?

So this is past halloween but we thought we would post them to show off what was his late halloween costume! Kyle didn't want to get him a costume this year because he felt he was a little too young for it, but when Halloween rolled around we both really wanted to get him one so we bought this costume from Old Navy a couple days after Halloween and only ended up paying 4 dollars for it (as opposed to $20) So this is his belated Halloween costume!

Say Cheese!

Finally! We caught Chase smiling on camera! Before Kyle goes to bed almost every night we put Chase on one of our pillows and we both play with him for a little bit. For some reason he absolutely loves laying on our bed! I don't know if it's because it's so much more comfortable than his crib or if he likes the ceiling fan right above our bed or what but he laughs and gives us lots of smiles even though he doesn't like the camera!

I Got Punked!

OR...maybe there's just a friendly little game of TAG going on! Thanks Kendra! I have to admit though that it is fun to learn some little interesting tid bits about everyone. The problem is I'm having a tough time coming up with some about myself. Here goes my list...

1. I am very particular about the way my apartment is decorated and for the first 2 years of our marriage I hid a hideous lion cookie jar that says "Get your hand out of my cookie jar Grrr Arggg". Kyle liked it but I didn't want it on the kitchen counter messin' up my style! He'd find it and put it back up and we played this little game of hide and seek until recently when I finally gave in. It sits next to the bread box!

2. I would love more than anything to have an Austrailian accent but every time I try to sound Autrailian it comes out more Jamaican. Put another shrimp on the barbie mon!

3. I love the Disney Channel and it is probably the most watched channel in our house! No, it's not for Chase it's for me! My favorite shows are High School Musical (both 1 and 2), Hannah Montana, and Wizards if Waverly Place. They're really cute and they keep me young! I do put on Mickey's Playhouse sometimes for Chase though. Mishka Moushka Mickey Mouse!

4. My name is Jessica, and I'm a lip gloss-aholic. I always have it on hand, I hate lip stick but I can't live without chapsticks and lip glosses. Right now in my purse I have 6 different kinds!

5. I dance everyday! Usually only to a song or 2 sometimes by myself sometimes with Chase or Kyle. Dancing is my medicine and if I had followed my dreams all throughout middle school and high school I would gone to the School of American Ballet and gone on to become the next Natalia Makarova.

6. I can do a mean impression of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Kyle thinks it's a little creepy cause I can easily change it into a Smeagle impression! So I can either impersonate a decrepit hobbit or an alien rat like dog creature. Now that's a useful skill!

All right those are my 6 now I'd like to know six interesting facts about Megan Porter, Chantri Keele, Natalie Raymond, Karissa Kam, Carrie White, Katrina Ormson, Karissa White, Christina White, and Katy Wilson! You can e-mail it Chris, Katy, and Karissa White or post it as a comment if you'd like. I won't make Niki do it again since she has already been summoned to do so by Kendra!

The Perfect Storm

Have you ever had a time in your life when it seems like the elements have lined up to get you? Well, for the past couple weeks it seems like that way for us.

So my laptop was getting a little old, I've had it for about three and a half years and I've been getting this feeling that I should back up my data on it. We had a bunch of stuff on it like our finances and files for school, but we also had all of our pictures on there since we've been married. Well, it died. It took it to Best Buy and they said it completely crashed before they could try to save any data. So we lost all our pictures. Jessica and I are pretty bumbed about it, but it's just one of those things that happen sometimes.

So this is a picture of our sliding glass door that leads to our patio. Some little kid through a rock at it and it shattered pretty good. When I ran out of our apartment to see who did it the only person I saw was this 4 year old little girl. I asked her if she saw who did it and she described a little black boy. It was pretty funny talking to her about him, we would ask how big he was and she would hold her hands out from side to side as if to describe how fat he was. We had a good little chuckle about that. The apartment complex was really good though and got the window repaired in a couple of hours.

This it Chase in his little baseball outfit. He is a little sad that the Diamondbacks lost to the Rockies and didn't get to go to the World Series. Maybe next year.

Two months old!

Yes, it has been a long time since we have updated our blog...sorry. But here are a fresh batch of pictures of the little guy. We all know you are anxious to know how he is growing.

Here is what's new in our lives...hmm, not too much. Work has picked up for me, now I feel that I'm more productive because I'm working on client's projects and getting my billable time in. Jessica is going to be starting a job doing data entry in a couple weeks. This will be something that she can do from home when the little one is napping. It will be something that won't require too much time but yet still brings in some fun money.

I've started donating my "liquid gold" (plasma) again. It is definitely different than Bio-Medics in Rexburg. This is a specialty center, there are only a handfull of them around the country and Tempe has two of these centers. What they do is give you some sort of vaccine that changes the properties of your plasma and makes it more valuable. The only downside is that the donors are a little bit different than they are in Rexburg.

Chase is growing like a weed! He is sleeping more through the night which has allowed Jessica to have more time to do other things, which has made her happy! He is starting to smile a whole bunch now. It just so happens that when we pull the camera out he gets stage fright and clams up. We'll have to be more sneaky! He loves music and books and normally calms right down once we start singing to him or reading from his Baby Einstein books. He is doing great, but he does have a little bit of cradle cap. It hasn't been a problem though because all of this hair tends to cover it nicely.

It's starting to cool down on us. We've been under the 100 degree mark for about two weeks now. We've been in the 90's since then and in the evening it gets down to the 70's and last night it got down to 68. So the weather is perfect right now.

Chase on 10/07/07

Chase in his blessing outfit on 9/30/07 when it actually started fitting him better.

Chase on 9/28/07 in overalls. He's laying on his quilt that we got for his crib. He loves it!

Chase on 9/16/07. We tried to dress him nicely in preparing him to meet Elder Oaks. He came to our Stake Conference.

Chas on 9/14/07. Mommy was playing with his hair and made it all wavy.

Chase on 9/12/07. Jessica was singing to him in the morning. He gets really alert and really likes to listen to music and his mommy sing.

Chase on 9/11/07 right after he finishes eating he's really happy because his belly is full, so he make faces at Mommy.

Chaser Bugs, 1 month old and growing

Kyle tried to wake up Chase the other day to give him some tummy time so he tried to put him on his stomach. He planted his face down on the blanket and didn't wake up. Kyle then tried to put him on his back and Chase arched his back and ended up on his side like this and remained fast asleep. We thought he looked pretty cute, so we just let him sleep and he woke up on his own a few minutes later.

Chase still hasn't warmed up to his baths yet, but he really enjoys being wrapped in his towel afterwards. Since he always seems so traumatized after his baths we like to give him a little extra time in his towel. He is so cute and just looks around at us and tries to eat the side of the towel.

If we let him, Chase will sleep for up to four hours on daddy's chest without a single peep! He just loves it and so does Kyle.

We're back in Arizona

This is one of Chase's favorite positions to sleep in, Jessica says he's doing "Stick em Ups"

So we are back in Arizona, probably for good but we'll have to see what happens in the future.

To sum up what has happened to us recently:

Jessica and I graduated from BYU-Idaho in July and are done in Rexburg. I graduated with my BS in Accounting and Jessica with her Associates. She wants to continue her schooling and get a degree in the Health Care field, but we've decided that that be postponed for the time being. I still need some more credits so I can sit for the CPA exam. I'm looking at my options right now, but will probably attend some night classes at ASU to give me the credit requirement.

Here is Chase, only about 10 min old.

Jessica gave birth to Chase on Aug 8th. This was a very moving and special experience for us, but I can say that I have such a greater appreciation for her and all the pain and work she went through to get this little guy here.

This is one of our favortie pictures of him. We thought it was really precious how he is all snuggled with his hands tucked under his chin.

On Tuesday the 4th, I start work at my "Big Boy Job." I'll be working for Henry and Horne, they are an Accounting Firm that I did my internship during the spring of this year. They've treated me really well and are very understanding of family situations. Not a very exciting job, but it will be a great place for me to start.
