Finally we can have our Kyle back! This was the first real tax season we've gone through as a family where Kyle wasn't an intern. It was pretty tough at times! Especially towards the end when I got my job. We had to really sacrifice time with each other (as if we weren't already doing that because of Kyle's late nights on really busy days), but I'm so glad to say we made it! Now we can enjoy a little more freedom, a lot less stress, and more time with one another (until next year)! On the last day of the season (April 15th) the company treated all the employees to a fantastic dinner at the Rustlers Rooste. Honestly I can say it was the best steak I have ever had in my entire life. They had Top sirloin, barbeque ribs, barbeque chicken, corn on the cob, hot dinner rolls, green salad, and barbeque pit beans! For dessert there was apple pie or these gigantic chocolate brownies with chocolate frosting drizzled with white chocolate! Can you guess which one I had? Of course the chocolate. Everything was scrumptious! We were on a big balcony overlooking the Tempe city lights and it was absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect way to end the bustling tax season!
We also had a chance this weekend to cut little Chase's hair. It was getting pretty long. I've included pictures of that also, just in case you were wondering how it went!

Chase jumping for joy! He gets his daddy around more often!

This is a huge bull they had grazing in front of the Rustlers Rooste. I thought it was really cool!

Family picture in front of the restaurant! It's not too great because our photog was this teenage valet parker. He took three or four shots and this one really was his best!

During his hair cut. He was such good little boy (for the clippers at least, it was a whole other story when the scissors came out)

The adorable finished product!

I love Chase's smile...it makes me smile!
That is cool that you get your husband back! I am sure he is happy to. I have been to Ruslters Rooste and it is really good. We went for Dean's birthday and I was really impressed. Chase's new haircut is so cute.
I think he looks adorable. Mom on the other hand said "Why did she do that?". She likes straggles! HA HA. And Ethan called him baby Jessica. Because he couldn't remember Chase.
Oh he is sooo cute! I've only seen him a few times and when I see him now it's such a difference from when he was a sweet little newborn.
that kid looks like the happiest boy ever! what a cutie! Just so you know, if I can quilt, anyone can! I'm infamous for making super crooked things, so do not be impressed until finished--and even then . . . I'm interested to see how it actually turns out! At least you can dance. That is something I will never be able to do without looking ridiculous! I'm sure Kyle can testify since we were at enough high school dances in the same group!
I love the haircut chase it so cute!!!
So for 5 days now I've had a horrible case of stomach and intestinal flu and have been living on soups with chicken and rice in them... Not that they weren't delicious (prepared for us by our sweet family members) but I must say that reading your blurb about the scrumptious feast at Rustlers Roost made me REALLY jealous. Not hungry - I'm not quite over it yet. By the way, avoid anyone complaining of having this illness. It has wiped me out - Pace too. Ouch, YUCK all of it. :) Glad you had fun though! And that your hubby is free again!! Woo-hoo!
Oh so cute, Jess- I can't believe how adorable that kiddo of yours is!!! I love him! And congrats on getting Ky-Ky back, that has got to suck something terrible without him around (especially when you need a breather from mommy time). you and kyle look great, I wish you were closer so we can play. ps. the feast you described was amazing!!!! yum... i'm jealous - but wait, i forget that you don't get the amazing Plasma Center parties they throw-- i mean, who wouldn't be excited about 14 Hot N' Ready's?
