Explaining to us why it is unacceptable for him to be wearing this costume
Holding Payton's hand for moral support
Begging daddy to take it off him (we had just put it on)
Happy now that he's enjoying the fruits of his earnings
Not thrilled.
This halloween year Chase dressed up as a "cuddly lion" although he would prefer to be neither cuddly nor a lion. We went to our ward trunk or treat last Saturday and tried the stume on for size and well...the result was a few tears (until we were outside) and zero smiles for as long as he donned his furry masquerade. We and everyone else in the ward that saw him thought he was very delectable in his little suit, too bad we were put on a smiles fast as punishment for making him wear it!
For halloween last night we really didn't do all that much. We ordered pizza and dressed Chase up in his costume to trick or treat at Nick and Brent's and the Talbot's house. Again no smiles and a lot more tears this time (I think he was still traumatized). We ended our night putting Chase to bed after his sugar high wore off. Then Kyle and I were then able to relax and watch "Enchanted" and eat brownie sundaes YUM! All in all we had a great halloween! Both Kyle and I have always been horrible at dressing up on halloween, but as Chase gets older, I'm thinking it will be a lot of fun to dress up in the future. So next year we'll have to think of something good! Through all the tears and commotion we managed to get some picture of our halloween adventures. Hope you all enjoy!

CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!!!! oh Man, Chase would have been Ava's perfect "cowardly lion" sidekick (you know, cuz she was Dorothy) oh I love his cute, sweet, sad, puppy dog eyes, pouty lips, "mom-please-don't-make-me-wear-this-cuz-all-the-girls-are-looking" expressions!!! But even better is his "HAH, I've got candy!!!!" expression!!!
I want one JUST LIKE HIM!
oh, and Payton looks like a rockstar in his Batman costume!!
oh do i miss you... in fact- for my Halloween costume, I wanted to be "The REAL Housewife of Idaho" (you know, to mock the "real housewives of orange county, new york, atlanta...) get really gaudy dressed up and hold up a POTATO... but it's just not cool if you don't have a couple of girlfriends to join me... and YOU would have been my go-to gal... dang it all, move back here!
haha. what a cutie. hey sometimes kids don't do what you want them to and they don't realize all the effort you go through for them but that's life. he looks really cute though!
I love his little lion out-fit!!!!!
What a cute little boy. I love the pic were he's not happy and wants to take be out of his costume....what a stud!!
Oh cutest little lion in the world!! He is so cute! Isn't Halloween the best? We wanted to deck out our house with pumpkins and cobwebs but we never got the chance...next year for sure!!
Oh man look at the cute lion. I must say he the cutest lion ever. Halloween is much fun with little kids to dress up. Cute Cute Cute!!!
I love the picture of payton and chase holding hands....so sweet! He did make such a cute lion, even if he wasn't happy about it!
I'm glad our child's not the only one out there in tears on holidays! I feel for you! The good news is he'll probably love that costume next year when it won't fit anymore.
He does look cute and cudly as a lion even when he is crying. It makes it more realistic, like the lion in the wizard of oz.
Honestly, Chase is so darling! He looks like the Lion from the wizard of OZ, especially with his "scared" face, he kind of looks like the "cowardly" lion. I think it must be the age, Whitney hated her costume too! I think she would have been happy to be a fairy or a princess--but we wanted her to be Yoda.
Chase is too cute as a lion, pouty face and all! But he does look like he is enjoying that sucker! I can't wait till they come home with a bucket full that I'll need to either A. Hide or B. Let them pig out and get rid of it all and have a stomach ache... Which one - I guess I'll decide when the time comes.
