Some brand new information!

Our new baby neice Brinley! Isn't she beautiful?!

What our house will look like when it's finished!

The cabinets we chose, throughout the house.

These will be the lights in the dining room. All of the light fixtures and hardware throughout the house will be oil rubbed bronze.

Yes, I know it's been awhile since I've blogged. We have been really busy lately, and I haven't had much time for blogging. We do have some very exciting news though, that I thought I'd share with everyone. We bought a house!!! It's a new build so it won't be finished until like January/February, but we couldn't be more excited for it! It really ended up being the perfect time for us to buy a home. The housing maket couldn't be better for buyers right now and with the new housing bill that President GWB passed we're definitely looking forward to the $7,500 tax credit that we will receive when we first move in. We just went to the design center this last week and chose our options for the house. Kyle just about had to put a leash on me because everything inside was so beautiful and tempting to upgrade to, but we tried to keep oursleves in check.

I'm back on the job search so that we can save, save, save for a really good down payment when the time comes. The gymnastics place I used to work at has offered me a job whenever I want it, but we don't know if that's the best place for me right now. It's a bit of a commute and I'd only get about 9-15 hours a week because I don't want to work during the day, and leave Chase with a babysitter. I have had one interview with a medical career placement agency and I have another one this next week. The first agency only does placement for doctors offices and private practices which makes it difficult for them to place me since most of the offices close at 5 or so in the evening. The agency I'll interview with this week, does its placement for hospitals, which would be perfect for me because then I could work a few night shifts a week and be at home with Chase during the day. So hopefully they'll be able to find a good fit for me.

Chase is turning one year old this next week! Wow, I cannot believe how fast the time flies, and that we were anxiously awaiting our little bug this time one year ago. He's so close to walking and whenever there's a will for him to be on his feet he finds a way. He's just so determined to walk! He's also been talking more. He'll copy a lot of what we say but often won't repeat it if we ask him to. He says, Mama or mom, dadda or dad, grass ("gass"), duck ("uck" or "guck"), and all done ("ah-duh").

Anyways, I think that about covers the White family news. One more thing, a BIG congratulations to my sister Christy and her husband Ben on the new addition to their family, our little neice Brinley! She's so gorgeous and sweet, and we can't wait to see her in a couple weeks, we love you guys!

All about baby!

After his bath squeaky clean and smiling big!

He has been pulling himself up on things for about a month now and starting to cruise around on furniture (and people) a lot more. Here he is playing on his activity table (a $1 yard sale find)!

Over to me so he can try to get the camera

I move to the other couch and he makes his way over for another attempt at the camera

He needs some water after all that cruisin'!

He has a hard time staying still while we change his clothes and diapers so as he was crawling away I draped his onesie on his head and he thought it was somewhat amusing.

"Lucky, Lucky, get down!" He likes to pull himself up to get a closer look at the beginning of Mickey Mouse clubhouse.
Well it's pretty hot outside and all we leave the house for is to go swimming, to the library, or grocery shopping, and not too much else. Needless to say that leaves a lot of time to play with Chase indoors, take lots of pictures of him, and blog about him. So this one's all him!

Tagged (awhile ago)

Now I know I've been tagged for a few other tags besides this one but the problem is I don't remember what they were and I just got busy and didn't get around to them as soon as I'd hoped and now I don't even remember what they were (sigh). I think that could be considered a run on sentence, but oh well. Anyhow, here goes...

Adjusting to life and weekend fun!

I borrowed this picture from Jamie. This is Chase at Jenna and Kreed's place. He loved all of Luke's toys, even though you can't tell from the picture. He was getting pretty tired by picture time.

(From upper Left clockwise) Jenna and Luke, Me, Kat and Tucker, and Jamie (Chase is MIA because he was sound asleep in Luke's comfy cozy crib)

Caught! Getting into mischief in the computer desk. This is his innocent, "I would never!" face.

Ever since we got back from Idaho Chase's sleep schedule has been a bit off. I thought he'd do great this time because the entire time we were in Idaho he continued with his naps and bed time just as usaul and didn't even skip a beat. He really lost it this week, though. He kept trying to combine his usual 3 naps into 1 and he was an absolute wreck! He climb all over me whenever I was anywhere within reach and just whine until I picked him up. Needless to say I haven't really had the time or patience to update this past week. Friday was the first day that I think we finally made progress and we're back on track. Chase is his happy-go-lucky little self again! I love the vacations I just don't like the aftershock adjustment period. Saturday we went to a barbeque and our friend's Jenna and Kreed's house in Phoenix. Jamie, Kat, Jenna, and I are all friends from back in our high school days. I can't even say how glad I am that we still keep in touch and hang out. We were really sad Tiff wasn't there also, but hopefully next time! Anyways were all married now and Jenna, Kat, and I all have baby boys close in age. Tucker is 15 months old, Chase, 11 months and Luke, 10 months. It was really fun to just sit around and eat yummy barbeque, and talk and watch our babies play together!

"That was totally wicked!" (I really don't even know where this face came from)
We just returned from our vacation to Idaho. We're both so sad that it went so quickly, but the week was jam packed with fun, family, and awesome food! What more can you ask for? I thought I'd taken more pictures than I actually did but I will post the ones I did take. Here's a little recap of our wonderful week!
We arrived in Idaho on Saturday and we had dinner and visited at Kyle's parents home. It was so nice and beautiful outside. We both love Idaho summer nights, mosquitoes aside. The weather is almost always great, with soft cool breezes and the sun seems to never set! We'd forget what time it was because the sun would still be out well after eight at night. We stayed at Kyle's brother Scott and his wife Christina's home. They were wonderful hosts and they made us feel right at home in their home. Thank you so much for letting us crash at your home for a week. Your girls are so sweet, and you guys always make us feel so welcome when we're there.
On Sunday we went to church with Kyle's parents and Kyle got to see how much his home ward has changed. We enjoyed seeing old faces, Chase did not have the same idea though, because I've never seen him act as crazy as he did that day in church! He was bouncing off the walls! Needless to say we only made it to sacrament meeting and part of sunday school.
Almost everyone else came in on Sunday. So Nicole and Brent and Kyle's aunt and uncle Lynn and Jim and their daughter Jessica arrived. We all gathered at Scott and Christina's and had a delicious Italian cuisine prepared by Christina. We just talked that night and caught up on everyone's lives and enjoyed one another's company.
Monday we went to the Playmill at West Yellowstone. We saw "See How They Run" and it was so much fun. Afterward we went to ice cream at the yummiest little ice cream shop ever, in West Yellowstone. It used to be called Arrow Leaf's but the owner and name have changed since then to Moose Berry's. The ice cream is still scrumptious though, and we always LOVE our experience at the playmill. We all called it a night, well kind of. We were supposed to go to bed early because the boys were all going on a hike the next day but Kyle and Scott thought it was necessary to rock out with Guitar Hero until the wee hours of the night. Christina and I just talked and watched them play, and I tried the occasional song. "Barracuda" was the only song I didn't get boo'd off stage for, I put it on our music playlist so you can see why. It has all those repeater notes that make it easy for me to hit!
Tuesday almost all the guys set out on a long day of hiking. I was surprised that Kyle and Scott actually made it out of bed. They probably only had like 4 hours of sleep that night. The girls all took our little ones to the splash park. Chase has always been our little water baby and the splash park was no exception. He was enthralled by it!
Wednesday we were all on our own. We had some friends that we wanted to visit and some sights to see in Rexburg. It seems like every time we come up, it's grown and changed quite a bit. I went to my old stomping grounds at Bio Medics and visited some of my favorite co-workers. It was so great to see everyone. I love seeing my friend Katy every time come up. We met as co workers, and the first time I saw her stick a needle in a donor's arm and then pull off her gloves so I could shake her slimy hand, I knew we'd be great friends! I also got to see a couple of my trainees Chelsea and Whitney. I called up another friend and co-worker Jessica and she was so sweet to meet us there also. It was such a fun visit, I really miss working with those girls! Kyle's brother Kelly and his wife Carrie came in on Wednesday so we all went over to the parent's house and cooked out. We had delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, smore's, you get the idea, really good food! We sat by the fire pit and roasted our marshmallows and talked and told a progressive group ghost story. We'd go around and everyone took a turn adding something to the story. It was...interesting and lots of fun!
Thrusday we went to do a session in the Rexburg temple. It was so beautiful inside and out. Kyle's parents had the opportunity to be tour guides in the temple during the open house. So they knew a lot of really neat facts about the temple and the different rooms inside. We even got to see the brides room, and the baptistry while we were there and they were gorgeous. The wood accents within the temple are all made from wood imported from Africa, it was breathtaking.
Friday was the 5k and the 4th of July parade. Brent and Nick ran in the 5k and they both did an amazing job. They ran strong and got really great times. Kyle and I didn't run because we missed pre-registration so it would've been 50 dollars for us to run in it. That was way more than I could bear, so we are going to hold out for the Race for the Cure. I did go to the parade with Chase though and all the guys went golfing. I don't know how Chase felt about the parade, it was a pretty warm morning and I don't think he was feeling it, but I had fun. We had a huge babreque with extended family in the afternoon. We had dutch oven chicken and potatoes that were amazing, and yummy waterelon and delectable desserts. Kyle's mom Diann made her famous baked beans and there were yummy pasta and jello salads to top it all off! We spent the rest of the day eating relaxing and having a lot of fun. We watched fireworks from the front yard later that night and then went inside and played games.
All in all it was such a great vacation we loved visiting our family and friends and only wished that we could have stayed longer or that it wouldn't have gone by so fast. We can't wait until the next one, we love you guys and miss you all already!
