Back To School
For a long time now Kyle and I have talked about me going back to school to finish what I started and get my nursing degree. We first decided to hold off so Kyle could obtain his Master's degree. Lately I would think yo myself , this is what I love and what I really want to do, and it's only going to become harder to attain the longer I wait. So, needless to say we talked about it again and Kyle and I agree the timing couldn't be better! So we are planning on staying in Mesa so that I can get into MCC's nursing program. I am hoping that the application process won't take to long but there are a ton of steps I have to take before I can even be considered. I already had my transcripts from BYUI transferrred and when they receive them I'll meet with a nursing advisor. I'm starting to study for the NET (Nurse Entrance Test), after which I will need to get a fingerprint card, background check, and much much more. The good news is I have already taken all the pre-requisites and all but 2 of the co-requisites. I hope and pray that they will transfer over. I am so thrilled to be doing this, it's been a dream for so long. My mom said that when I was little if someone in our family was sick I would ask them "what are your symptoms"? Then I would try to come up with a diagnosis and then deliver the prognosis to my family member. It was serious stuff. I've always loved working in medically related fields, Bio Medics for example, was and still is the best job I've ever had. I loved that place, (aside from the drama). At any rate I am very excited one, to be going back to school, I actually miss taking classes quite a bit (I know I'm weird). Two, because I'm following my dream and I am determined to achieve it, and that is a great feeling. It will be slow going because I don't think I can manage being a full time nursing student with clinicals and have a small child at home, but in the end I know it will be totally worth it! I'll have to get a lot of advice and pep talks from my wonderful aunt, who is a registered Neo Natal nurse in California. Last but definitely not least, I want to give my mom a gigantic congratulations! She just found out this morning that she has been accepted into a very competetive nursing program! Way to go mom, your extremely hard work has paid off! I know you'll do an excellent job in the program and become a wonderful nurse! You are such a great example for me, and I hope that I can follow in your footsteps and make you as proud of me as I am of you for your achievement!

He is getting his nursing degree then going and gettings his PA. Ya i have "heard" the wait right now after you take all the test, to get in is 2 years....gay i know. that why we just decided to go to ASU...The wait is just too long.
you go girl! that's seriously awesome! Chase is so stinkin' cute! His bathtime smiles make me want to eat him up! Hopefully one of these days we'll get our kiddos together to play!
You guys just tell us when and what we need to bring and the 3 of us will be there!! Congrats on deciding to go back to school. It took me a while also, but with the discount I get through Aaron, couldn't pass it up. BUT to answer your question I am currently in the Elementary Education degree program, but I would much rather be in the Hospitality Management degree program. It's what I've wanted to do for like the past 3 or 4 years. We've talked about maybe opening a B&B in Rexburg.... THAT wont happen for years to come, but it's a nice little goal to have in the back of my mind.
