Baby brother is definitely going to be rocking some stylish frocks!
At the beginning of this pregnancy my good friend Jamie asked me if I thought I would be having a baby shower for this one. I really didn't think too much of it but figured I wouldn't, because I wouldn't be throwing one for myself, and we already had one for Chase, right? Well she being the angel of a friend that she is, planned a girl's night out to Oregeno's, one of my favorite restaurants and invited all my closest friends. All but one friend, who'd just had a baby of her own, was able to come and we had such a fun night. It was so nice to get away and just kick back, catch up, laugh, and have a good time with the girls. I made out with some wonderful gifts for baby boy and had great food and the best company to boot. Thanks so so much girls, you really are the best! The only regret I have is that I don't have a single picture! I brought my camera and everything and having the brain that I have right now, (ya know "mommy mush") I forgot to take a single picture. I guess that just means we'll have to get together again very soon so that I can get my pictures of all my lovely girlfriends. Here are some pictures of the adorable gifts baby brother scored.
On a second somewhat related yet totally unrelated note I have had a whirlwind of doctor visits and tests this past week, ugh. I went in for my regular ob appointment last Tuesday and my protein was high. They decided to do some blood work to make sure I didn't have preeclampsia, everything else looked great. Blood pressure and swelling are usually two big things to watch for with preeclampsia and both of those things were excellent. Blood pressure was 114/68 and no swelling or any other symptoms. The blood test came back negative the next day, but they were still worried about the high protein that was still presenting. So I had to go back in and get a 24 hour collection container and, you guessed it, collect my urine over a 24 hour period...all of it. As fun as that sounds it was not. I went back in today and everything checked out wonderfully again, aside from high protein, again. They did more blood work again, but my doctor said that it's just precautionary and that she really thinks that because no other symptoms are present that it's just due to strain on my kidneys due to the pregnancy, and it will go away after I deliver. Drama, drama, drama!

don't DO that to me!!!! I was all freaked out when i read your title... so i had to read the second part first so i can breathe easier!! I'm glad nothing is wrong... what a stressor. And you're lucky you didn't have to do a 24-hour FECAL collection... it's NOT pretty (um, just so you know I've never done one... i just had to work in the lab when people brought in their containers... NASTY!)
Anyway, on a less disgusting topic... you're hilarious, I love the way you write, i feel like you're talking right to me!! I love it! I'm glad you got to go out with some girlfriends and get some cute things for Lil' Whitey... i'm sad we don't live closer-- i would have loved to come with!!!!
Hang in there... only a few more weeks left!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!
It was so good to see you and your adorable belly! I'm glad we finally got together but yeah what's the deal with none of us taking pictures?! I had my camera in my purse. Ugh! Oh well, pics next time for sure! I can't wait for this little boy to arrive!!
p.s. I'm glad you are still healthy, your title definitely gave me and baby Kayden a scare!!
Amen to what Katy said. DON'T DO THAT!! I was getting worried. I am really glad that things are okay. By the way WAY CUTE CLOTHES!! Your boys are going to be rocking the cutest most stylish clothes in town! Just wish all us girls from up here in Idaho could have been there with yah!! I also wanted to fill you in and let you know that Chelsey and Kylie are both pregnant here. They are exactly one day apart and Jake is already freaking out. It's good for him, don't you think?
So since I'm at work and I do nothing better than blog while I'm here, I would be more than happy to provide you with our e-mail address rexburg.pcci@grifols.com
You'll have to send Jake a hate e-mail. He really deserves it!! Yeah so the poor guy really is freaking out cause Nate and I will possibly be leaving in July (if Tim finds a job) and then with Chelsey and Kylie taking off, at least for 3 months, Jake doesn't know what to do. It's a nice change watching him freak out for once, cause I think Mike, Nate and I do the freaking out 90 percent of the time. So I'm looking forward to your e-mails. Luv yah
So do they know what all the protein is from? That's weird you have no other symptoms, just high protein. Hope everything is ok. But how nice of your friends to throw you a little shower! We never got a chance to at Oregano's, so I'm a little jealous because I've heard such good things about it. So do you have everything you need for the baby to arrive?
You are so cutely pregnant! Chase is getting so big. Holy cow! Are you loving your new house? It looks super nice! Good luck with these final weeks of pregnancy. It'll fly by with hopefully less drama! I'm surprised you didn't love the urine collection. Isn't that on EVERYONE's ultimate to do list?!
I can't believe only eleven days til the baby comes, which means who knows how many days it will really be. Are you feeling ready? I can't wait to see your new little one.
